Where is this motel located at? Can you go AI? How many rest. do they have? Swim up bar?
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
You said you got a day pass, is that free? If not how much? What events did you partake in?

No, it is not free, years ago, it was $20 per person, now I think it may range from $30 and maybe more. We would walk over from Los Tules and have breakfast (buffet). They also have a snack bar for sandwiches and burgers etc., or you can have lunch in the big palapa restaurant (buffet style). All this food is included and ALL your drinks. During the day they have activities in the pool, excersize, polo, and misc. games that you can participate in. There is areas to sit in the sun with a beach chair in the shade, beach, or poolside. When you pay and sign in they put a wristband on you and you have to return it by 6pm when the program ends. We have always had fun doing this every year, but be careful the drinks are endless, so we were lucky to just stroll on home next door. Just remember to go by 9:45am so you can get breakfast too, it makes for a fun day.
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
The only activities that the hotel provides as far as I can remember are things like beach volleyball, volleyball in the pool, bingo and nightly entertainment shows. No water activities or things like that. You can purchase some services on the beach like jet ski rental, etc. otherwise I would suggest the tours offered (for an extra charge) through the hotel.
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
sounds good, thanks for the help.
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
Can you tell me what other hotels are next door to the Las Palmas on both sides? we are going there soon and trying to look at a map and very confused as to exactly where it is in comparison to the other hotels. What else is by this hotel as far as restaurants or shopping?
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
Las Palmas is in between Los Tules and Plaza Pelicanos, in the hotel zone. Well situated for grocery shopping, definitely.
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
Thank you!

I would assume then, that it is toward the Malecon from the Qualton - and not toward the Marina?

We are excited that you can see the ocean from the pool, and also hoping there is adequate shade there if needed?

Is there any part of the hotel, or a certain floor that has better rooms?
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
Bee,

As for your question about which rooms are better? We stayed in the northern half of the resort by the adult pool and we thought it was decent. If you get put in the southern side your going to have to put up with a sqwuaking parrot and be by the avtivities pool.

Try to request the north side if you can.

Have fun,
Tony
Re:Las Palmas Hotel
OK - thanks.

One other question - do they have one night that you can make reservations at their actual rrestaurant that is not a buffet - included with the all inclusive? If so, how was that?
