there have been significant changes since 2002. We own 4 weeks at Lindo Mar and our most recent stay was May of this year. We usually ask for a suite above the 2nd floor only because the suites above the 2nd floor (south side) have a better view. If on the 2nd floor, the view from 201 and 202 (north side) will be impacted by the restaurant. Anything ending with a \"6\" should be a corner suite. Please note that the 7th floor is street level, anything below this is below street level, all suites are oceanfront. La Playita is the on site beach restaurant and offers great selections for b, l and d. They have buffet brunches on weekends during high season, Sundays during low. You can walk along the paved path beside La Playita and Conchas Chinas Hotel and up to the Oxxo store if you want pop, snacks etc. It is not walkable to the Malecon but there are always cabs in front of LM, usual cost is 50 pesos into the Los Muertos area. The bus stop is across the street, 6 pesos. You can walk to Los Muertos via the beach, lots of rocks to climb over tho so you will want to make sure you pack and wear a pair of water socks to help prevent slipping. Lindo Mar also offers full esthetic services including massage and a laundry service. The entire staff of LM are very helpful and friendly. There were several times during our last stay that we were too lazy to move from the beach and just stayed put. The restaurant also offers beachside service; there are 2 happy hours daily, noon til one and 5 til 6. Enjoy our favourite place to stay.
