The restaurant La Playita is one of our favourite destinations. It is the farthest point south on the beach that you can walk to. Reminds me of some of the better locations in Hawaii.
We stumbled upon one night when we had been disappointed by our meal at El Set. have never been back to El Set but are no regulars at La Playita. One night we noticed an elderly woman eating there alone. We invited her to join us. She was a hoot and we got along famously.
She insisted on having back to her place in Lindo Mar for a nightcap. Her husband had just died and this was her first PV visit alone. She said she was meeting all kinds of nice people. Lindo Mar are traditonal Mexican colonial apartments, all with fabulous views. Because it is in Conchas Chinas, it is well served by taxis and buses. The only thing lacking is a local grocery store. But a bus to town and a taxi back will solve that problem.
