We are planning our next trip to PV, and would like to bring our dogs this time. Any suggestions on pet friendly accomodations?

My dad told me that if you lodge with dogs, you will leave with fleas.

Being the bad boy that I am, I think pets and kids should be left home.
Dogs are great in PV. Grabbed a couple of them from the snack shack every afternoon when we were last there. Imported might taste better. When you going down?
ok boys play nicely here...
have you checked into the various laws about bringing pets into Mexico, is there a quarantine time they would have to stay before being released to you??? if you are going for an extensive vacation (longer than one month or more), then go for it, but if you are only going for a month or less, find a good friend to care for your babies, or a very reputable kennel....
good luck....

OK Pops.
Ok Chuck and Ronald.... i was trying to be sympathetic to the question of the poster... who wants to take their pet on vacation with them... and after losing our beloved Sunshine just over two weeks ago after being with us for almost 14 yrs.... i just thought of it in poor taste... granted traditionally i would most likely be chiming in with your banter... but right now, no sense of humor....
We no longer have dogs...just cats. Either way though, we never put our pets in a kennel, we hire housesitters, or petsitters. I HIGHLY recommend this as an alternative to either kenneling the dog, or bringing with.
This way (petsitters), somone comes to your home and visits with the dog, makes sure they have food/water, and the animal remains comfortable in its own home environment.
Just my 2 cents.

i own a condo in old town, we brought our two border collies with us in june, it was a piece of cake, you just need a bill of health from the vet and proof of a rabies shot within the last year. the customs agent gave us a little bit of a hard time because the rabies vacs here in sf are for 3 years.....check out www.pvrpv.com they have a list of pet friendly properties
Thanks all... we have decided our vacation should not include the 4 legged family members. We are driving down again, and thought it might be fun. But its too much hassle....
