Looking for a place to stay - December 2006

Hi everybody!

My family and me (4 Adults, 2 Children) want to go to Puerto Vallarta for 7 days in December. We dont plan to spend Christmas or New Years´Eve there, so we could book either the 3rd week of that month (from 11 to 17Dic is) or the week from the 18th to the 23th
Our budget for the hotel/condo/house/villa or whatever is 80-110 USD per day (560-800 per week) for all people.
Since it would be the first time for us there, we dont have any preferences where to stay, but we wouldnt like to be that far away from downtown or sightseeings. An isolated place over the hills would be an absolute No-go for us.
I have been searching on the internet, but most what I´ve found are very luxury villages with rates over 500 USD per day!
Do you think you can help me to find something?
Or do you know somebody I should contact to, in order to find a place which fits our needs?
Or if you think that it would be impossible to find something on a budget in PV for those dates, let me know it too, so that I can modify my planes.
I am a PV-Newbie, so I will really appreciate your help on this.

Unfortunately, I am only able to travel on December-January, so I have to adjust myself. Of course, I could pay something more, if it is worth of it. But not that much! :wink:

I wanted to check for availability on December I checked the availablity and as of right now it is still available for the time you want to go.
