Re:Looking for Info
we have never stayed there, but have heard that it is a nice resort... drawback, south of town a ways, not much night life out there... that were the only two things we heard... some people love the remote area that it has... not sure about the beach area down there.. sorry for not being much help...

good luck and welcome to Vallarta.... lots of good people out here on the BB and you should be able to find out all kinds of information... a person to look for that knows a lot about Vallarta is Jennybean... she may be able to give you some insights on this as well

Re:Looking for Info
South of PV proper in Mismaloya. Still a very nice property.

Beach is nice but much smaller now due to a seismic anomaly about 3 years ago. (-:
Re:Looking for Info
La Jolla is beautiful!! The beach has shrunk and it is not close to downtown, however, transportation is inexpensive in PV. One year we stayed at La Jolla and they had a beach party - it was alot of fun...good food, drinks, games, dancing on the beach at night! The location is quaint, there are villages near-by. Just across the Mismaloya river, and we were able to wade across, are palapas set up by the locals - fresh seafood, chips, salsa and cerveza - very cheap and delicious! The absolute best part about staying south of downtown at La Jolla is you are that much closer to Le Kliffe - an incredibly romantic restaurant that overlooks the ocean - go at sunset - have the concierge make your reservations!!
