Mar Serreno Hotel or Remote Hotel

I posted a message about a month ago trying to find out more information about the Mar Serreno Hotel 20 minutes from PV. As I received no replies I assume nobody has stayed at this hotel, so I would like to know if anyone knows of a hotel which is a little off the beaten path. It does not have to be in Vallarta but nearby. I am considering Sayulita and Mar Serreno at this time. I know there is literally no virgin territory but I like to have a remote feeling rather than a congested one.

Thanks for the advice, I think Yelapa may be a little too rural but Sayulita or something like that may be good.
