Thanks very much.

Re:Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta
Please forgive my bad spelling... I really would like to hear from someone who has been to the Mayan Palace in Nuevo recently... or anywhere out in Nuevo Vallarta.
Thanks
Re:Mayan Palaca Nuevo
I have not been there myself but do understand that it is a timeshare place. So you may encounter pressure to attend a timeshare presentation. Just politely tell them you are not interested. No sense in wasting 4 hrs of your vacation. On the nicer side Nuevo has approx 12 Miles of uninterupted Beaches to walk and wander. You can Walk all the Way from Paradise Village to Bucerias. You are going to find al sorts of venders and things to do in the Beach . Parasailing to boat andjetski rentals. The GM Complex is very large so you will be walking to and from a lot. But if the grounds are as nice as they appear to be you will enjoy it. Also check out some of the reviews at Tripadvisor.com. Sounds to me like you will have a nice time there if you just go with the flow per say. Let me know how your trip went when you get back as I may stay there sometime in the future. Almost forgot if you want to go into PV take the bus for about 11 peso/1 ddollar or a taxi for 110 Pesos/10dollars each way.

we stayed at the paradise village in nuevo 2 years ago. it is a great resort. beautiful beaches, really nice pools. the staff are very friendly. there is a small mall just outside the resort. good luck
Re:Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta
Thanks for all your feedback. Will look forward to the first hand experiences very soon.
Re:Mayan Palaca Nuevo
My wife and I and another couple stayed at the Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta last March. It is a great resort - very nice pools and beach. We found the staff great. However, as already indicated, it is very inconvenient if you like to go downtown. You will need taxis (fairly expensive in PV standards) or the buses, which required two buses (three if you count the one from the resort to the regular bus stop). Someone said you can walk 12 miles along the beach up to Bucerias. You can from Paradise Village, but not Mayan Palace. It is separated by the Marina and river.

The time share people will not bother you much at the Mayan Palace. They will try to make you take the offer of 15 % off meals if you go to the presentation. If you say no, you will not hear from them again. At least that was our experience.

Thank you for the trip report. I am surprised the staff speak limited english.
Anyway, sounds like it was still a great vacation.

Re:Mayan Palaca Nuevo
Did you enjoy the food? Also, was it affordable?
Re:Mayan Palaca Nuevo
I know what you mean about the time share experience. I felt like I was released from jail when we went.
Thanks for info re meals... sounds pretty good. Fish soup, eh? OK.
