Mayan Palace, Nuevo

Can anyone tell me, if they have started the destruction of the Mayan Palace, in Nuevo? We are planning to be there in October and are wondering where our accomodations will actually be. We heard that they were planning on demolishing the old Mayan Palace and replacing it with something else. I would appreciate any information on the situation our there. We may want to change our reservations.

They are in the process of building a new facility right behind the existing Mayan Palace facility (red and yellow buildings). I think it is to be open in October/November.
