Re:Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallarta
Good News: A very nice place, with an absolutely huge swimming swimming pool and a golf course.

Bad News: They are the most agressive company pushing timeshare sales in the area. DESPITE what they may tell you, their sales presentations ARE 4 HOURS long and VERY HIGH pressure.

Recommendation: If you like what you read about the place, go there, it is nice. If you like the place so much that you want to buy a timeshare spot, go to their sales presentation. If you are not interested in buying a timeshare there, but just want to hang around and have fun, avoid going to any sales presentations...despite what free gifts they may offer you.

Re:Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallarta
We just returned from a week at Mayan Palace. The previous notes are correct in that the grounds are incredible and the pool and beach are spectacular. Read my topic about Taxis/Buses in the General Tips Bulletin for additional info.

The food prices are pricey..$7-8 for lunch and $15 and up for dinners. $3/drinks. They have specials each night that run $18-25 for all you can eat (e.g. Tex Mex, Lobster, etc).
