MAyan Palace Nuevo/ Villas Vallarta?

I have the choice at saying at either the Mayan Palace in NV or the Club Villas Vallarta in Dec 3rd thru 10th. CVV is AI at 75 pp. Is it worth it to stay there for that $$ ? Any comments would be appreciated.

Club Villas Vallarta, as I understand it, is formerly known as the Golden Hotel in the hotel zone. Closer to downtown than the Mayan if you like to shop, stroll the Malecon, eat out, etc.

MP is world renowned for their aggressive OPCs and on-site sales folk. Definitely good advice to be aware of them.

Thank you to both Eck40 and Jennybean for the info. Ended up with a Better Package Deal at the Royal Decameron just outsdie of Bucerias. Any info on the Nightlife there would be appreciated.
