Going to PV for the first time 8/1, anyone have any tips about the Mayan? Restuarants in PV? Tours in the area? Would appreciate any tips.

Re:Mayan Palace?
It depends on which Mayan Palace you´re going to. Nuevo Vallarta or Marina.
Re:Mayan Palace?
Hi, if you like seafood the Blue Shrimp is a must, excellent food good staff Martin the owner is a very nice guy who takes the time to talk to you.
A good day out is a trip to Yellapa on the Alias Mann Schooner which sails from the cruise boat quay at the Marina, an excellent boat with a great crew who will spoil you rotten, much better than the party boats.
Have a great stay in P.V.
Jeff

We for sure wqant to go to Yelapa (sp?) What is the cost of the schooner. Thanks for the info!
Re:Mayan Palace?
The Alias Mann was 650pesos , about $72 or £52, you get breakfast drinks snacks and a very good lunch on the beach at Yellapa, you choose your main course on the boat and they radio it ahead, we had redsnapper and moi moi which was very good. loads of drinks on the way back, Do it and enjoy, let me know when you return what you thought of it.
cheers Jeff

You can always catch a water taxi to Yelapa.
Re:Mayan Palace?
Since you are staying at the PV Mayan Palace they will let you into the Nuevo Mayan Palace with your card. You should spend a day there. It has a beautiful, large beach with hugh pool. Much nicer than the beach at PV. We will be there Aug 2-9. Also there is a water park at the PV MP that your boys might be interested.
Re:Mayan Palace?
Burro Bar still there, buckets of cerveza still there. 35 pesos. Playa Los Muertos sounds like the place you want to be for beach clubs and vendor shopping. Plenty of choices for places to hang your straw hat under a palapa....Burro happens to be one of my faves.
I can also recommend the margs, the garlic shrimp, the nachos, the piña coladas.......LOL
And of course, the sunset. One of the best vantage points in town IMO.
