My family is going to Mayan Palace/PV next week. What should I expect? Do I need to bring anything to help with the expense of eating out every night since there is supposedly a mini-kitchen? How is the service, should I tip the first night. This is my first time-share experience!

Hi Linda, Not sure if you mean you are going to cook or eat out eveynight. Eating out is certainly one of the joys on being in PV. Many good restaruants on the south side of town. It is not particularly cheap to eat out though. With a mini kitchen you can eat breakfast in and some lunches. That is what we usually do. You may want to cook one or two dinners in to save money.
You can tip your maid daily. When you go out to eat tip the waiter depending on your service as you would at home. We usually tip 20%.
Not sure what you mean by \"how is the service\"? At the hotel, at the restaraunts?
The Mayan Palace is very nice. The beach there is not great though. As a guest of the MP PV you could go to the Mayan Palace in Nuevo for a day where there is an awesome beach and pool. It is one of the largest pools in Latin America. The beach is close to a mile long and very clean.
