fun group of 25 going and want to know if the booze is \"rot gut\" (hangover material) or name brand stuff like usa and how is the food, (americanized mexican food or authentic)?

 You will be fine. The food is a mixture and the buffets are very good. Alcohol is fine and the swimming pool is awesome. Have a great time!
