Need help with hotels

A great place where family & friends of mine stay is called the Vallarta Shores. They offer 1, 2 & 3 bed. complete suite condos overlooking the bay right on the beach in old town. Central but quiet. We have just come back from a week in P.V. the whole area from downtown to past the Krystal is badly damaged. We have a time share at Krystal and the damage in the time share is bad, it is a war zone. We stayed at the Marina and it is fine. It is a bus ride or 45 pesos taxi ride (about 10 or 15 minutes) to downtown. The malecon is badly damaged, lots of stores under repair but soon it will be fine. Lots of restaurants are ok.

You might want to try the Best Western Puerto de Luna Suites which is located opposite the Fiesta Americana or the Holiday Inn, We stayed there in January, 2000 and we are going back in January for a two-week period. It is a quiet place, nice pool and security is very good.
