Nicest hotel?

Looking for a nice hotel for our anniversary. Preferably an all inclusive with a nice beach with good food and service. We are willing to pay more for a good hotel. Any suggestions and why. Thanks

the Melia is a great place to go very romantic place, have been going there for 9 years now the food is great and the service is outstanding. the beach is not real large but there is plenty of room and you can walk for a long ways. the gardens are beautiful. if you want to see some pics. let me know and i can send to you. any ???? email at mrpaul@charter.net

I agree with RapidTales. We absolutely loved the MELIA this January. It has a good beach, great food, (never out, and enough selection that you can have something different every day, and never get tired of the food. One day they had a choice of T-Bone steak, Fish, Lamb Chops, and Barbequed Ribs for meat alone. The booze is good too, you never have to wait for any, and they even have some premium stuff, (good scotch, brandy, etc), except they did not have any corona beer, seems the Sol Melia is part of the Sol chain that owns that SOL beer company.

It is in a good part of PV, bus service right across the street, (42 pesos to go by cab to the Malecon), has decent rooms, with balcony, really nice bathtub, litle fridge in your room with water. PS. You can drink the water there, never have to worry.

The place is on about a 30 acre site, and full of trees, flowers, etc. It is a beautiful hotel with very well kept and manicured grounds. Very romantic, and pretty, the place can be packed and yet you can feel like you are all alone in the middle of all of these people. Great big pool, swim up bar, lots of things to do if you want to do them, or just sleep on a lawnchair. This place is only All-Inclusive. and a little expensive, but it is worth it. We are already making plans to go back there next winter.

If you are looking for a great beach I recommend you stay in Neuvo Vallarta. The beaches there are far superior to the other beaches. Paradise Village is a beautiful resort in Neuvo.

it all depends on what you are looking for....

yes some of the better beaches are in Nuevo Vallarta, but then you are dining buffet all the time, and you are 30 minutes from down town....

Check into the Crown Paradise (an adults only all-inclusive)... all menu dining, three resturants (two specialty-reservations needed and on open seating), three bars, the beaches are pretty darn good until you go south Los Tulus (hurricane damage starts there) but you can walk all the way there from Crown Paradise. You are only minutes from down town (30 pesos ruffly $3 USD), or you can walk there by the streets in 45 minutes if you are a big walker.... you are also close to the marina area where the boats go in and out for the booze cruises, the sunset cruises, etc... the Crown Paradise also has 24 hr room service too....

I have to add my two cents and recommend the Solare. My wife and I have stayed there two times and absolutely love it. Very nice beach, you can walk all the way to Bucerias if you like. Very nice grounds, very friendly staff, good food and beautiful scenery. You are close enough to go to PV or if you are like me and prefer things a little more laid back you can walk or bike to Bucerias and enjoy great food and a large, cheap open market. The next time we return to PV, we will definately choose the Solare again.

I think Mr. and Mrs Crown Paradise have convinced us to stay at C.P. We stayed at the Melia in Jan, liked it but thinking of trying another resort.We were also thinking of not going all inclusive the next time so we can try more restaurents downtown.

We have been to PV five years in a row now.
We love the Paradise Village,Nuevo Vallarta.
Great beach,pools,shopping and many restrants.
They have a small Zoo and nice rooms with full Kitchens.
Very active and very freindly resort.
I will be there at the end of March to go scuba diving.

Besides not being large, can you describe the beach? I read in one review that the beach at the Melia was \"rocky and muddy\". Thanks a bunch
