We love Nuevo! We are going back in January. 20 of us!!! We enjoy the beaches and the quiet. Downtown PV is nice to visit a few times during our trip. We like to rent a car and venture out to other areas. Punta Mita, Ricon de Guyabitos (very cool), worth the interesting ride. See how the real people of Mexico live along the way there. As far as our home base Nuevo is the place for us.
