hi, no you have to be a guest at the grand mayan to use the pools. However the guest at the grand mayan are allowed to use the pools at the other mayan resort around the area. You are right , we were there in march and the pools are awesome. they also have 2 wave pools and water slide, and a lazy river. definetely worth the money to stay there.time share owner. have fun on your holliday
