Opinions for Playa los Arcos Hotel &Suites Beach Resort

It looks like our group has decided to stay at Playa los Arcos Hotel &Suites Beach Resort
Any comments good or bad for this place? The location sounds perfect. I read the reviews for it and they were mixed.
Some complained about rude front desk personell and about being charged more than what they were quoted for their room.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated!

When you stay at the suites try and get the room the furthest from the elevator right at the end of the balcony facing the pool.
The pictures of the hotel pool on their web site show these rooms on the extreme left of the picture. They have the largest
common area and the the balcony facing the street only has neighbors on your right. The wall from one balcony is only about 2 to 3 feet high so lock your balcony door at night. When you look down the balcony onto the street you will see a coffee shop on the
left street corner. It is a very popular corner all day & nite, where folks from all over the world go to meet for coffee.

The Hotel and the Suites are two different buildings under the same management. Not sure for the original post which one you are staying at. Not that it matters, but the posts above are refering to both of these properties.

Hi there! We stayed there before and the location cannot be beat! The Hotel is quite nice, we never encountered any rudeness, but the rooms in the hotel have no kitchen, coffeemaker, etc and are quite small, but very clean. There is a great coffee shop in the corner and breakfast on the beach is perfect!
