Pelicanos Grand?

Has anyone ever stayed at the Pelicanos Grand Hotel? I know the beach is not the greatest but that is what water socks are for, any input would be appreciated. Thks

I am considering staying at the Plaza Pelicanos. Is there a big difference in accomodations between the old Plaza Las Glorias section and the old Pelicanos section? Any other information concerning this resort would be appreciated.
