Planning last min PV trip - Suggestions?

Hoping to plan last minute trip in next couple weeks...hopefully for end of Jan beginning of February.../..never been, nos sure what are good resorts, etc etc....any suggestions?

Please surf a bit around www.puertovallarta.net - use the map, read the list of attractions and areas in Puerto Vallarta, surf a bit around the forum, read the threads and once you get a clearer idea of what you think you need, post a question. General vague questions are not conducive to very useful replies.

Also things like budget, interests, age of the visitors, etc., are good to add to your questions, so people have a better idea of what you might want.

My only suggestion would be to try not to be placed in a resort far from town, but rather to look for a place in the hotel zone or, better yet, the south side. Resorts in the hotel zone would be Holiday Inn, Fiesta American, Hola, Buenaventura. South side would be Los Arcos, San Marino, Tropicana, etc. Keep in mind that I have no idea of your likes or budget. South side hotels would be in the nature of 3 stars rather than the 5 star hotels north of town. Let us know what you decide and I hope you enjoy your trip.

depending on your budget and your airport, look into Apple Vacations, MLT Vacations, etc... and see what kind of Hot Deals they have on line or have your TA check for you. If you can bust out at the last minute you might find a great bargain for this short of notice. As Jennybean stated this is a very popular time for us fanatics to get out of our little tundras and get to sun and heat and warmth... But just go out and check and you might get lucky..... best of luck to you....
