Playa de Oro area

I am one more person who is looking for info on the Playa de Oro and surrounding area. It seems rather difficult to get any info on the Playa so whatever you can offer would be most helpful. Gracias

We have been to the Vista Club Playa de Oro twice and are returning for a third visit
Feb. 28. On BOTH occasions we were approached regarding timeshare and once we told them we were not interested they did not bother us again. If you chose this hotel you will enjoy yourselves. Its true that kids are allowed here but we have found they were NOT a nuisence due to kids programme and other activities to keep everyone busy or occupied. We found this hotel much more relaxed and no strict dress codes for any of the restaurants (obviously no bathing suits at dinner time). I just got back from the Vista Club Playa De Oro yesterday and we loved it!! We do not have kids but did not find them annoying either. The food is very good, lots of selections. There are 3 restaurants plus a beach snack bar that has burgers, hotdogs, pizza, fries, chicken wings and ribs from about 11 to 6. The beach area is fabulous, a long stretch of beach and waves not too big. We went swimming in the ocean almost everyday. There is a kiddie pool and an adult pool but they are both quite small and tend to get crowded. There are tons of chairs on the beach and lots of vendors if you like to shop without leaving the hotel. If you have any other questions, please let me know.
