Playa Los Arcos

Just booked our trip to the Playa Los Arcos for Aug 2-7. This will be our 3rd trip in 3 years to PV, but we have never stayed in this hotel before. Last year we found this hotel on one of our wandering trips and we loved the area and wanted our family to experience the romantic zone this time. I have read some good reviews and some bad. Just wondering if anyone had any recent experiences with this hotel that they can share with me.

I just got back a few weeks ago from staying at Playa Los Arcos....third or 4th time to stay there....I love this hotel because of the location and you cant beat it for the price! I have never had any complaints about this hotel except the beds are hard, but I think that is anywhere you stay in PV. I think this last room 411 was the best we have had because it had a pool side/ocean view and the bathroom was not as small. I would ask for NOT a street/pool level or Olas Altas side room(tend to be noisy by the pool or street). I think the 2nd floor rooms on the side have balconies that face the street..not much of a view. I just nicely tld the guy at the front that I had stayed there several times and would like a room w/balcony facing the pool and was willing to wait a little longer for one of the rooms to come availalbe....a few dollars tip and done...he gave us a great room I was trying to upgrade to one of the rooms on the end..ocean front...but they were full You will enjoy this hotel if you do not have 5 star expectations. The staff is very nice and willing to try and accomodate you....they keep everything very clean too. Enjoy

This is the hotel that we are thinking about bringing our kids down to as well, because we want them to experience this area of P.V. I will be anxious to hear how it goes for you. We got a chance to look over the property when we were down there, and it was very nice. No it is not the 5 star resorts like those up north, but it is still a quality place from what we saw, and heard from those staying there.
