QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CROWN PARADISE

THIS IS OUR FIRST TIME TO PUERTO VALLARTA AND WE ARE STAYING AT THE CROWN PARADISE. WE ARE VERY CURIOUS ABOUT THE FOOD THERE, AS WE ARE NOT BIG MEXICAN FOOD EATERS. IS THERE A VARIETY OF FOOD TO CHOOSE FROM? ALSO, HOW IS THE NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT? THANKS FOR ANY INFO

We found the food there to bre very good , a good selection all ala carte no buffets eachrestaraunt tries to offer a beef, chicken and pasta dish each night and the salads are very good ,The nightly entertainment is a good show by the activity staff it all depends on each persons point of view but we enjoyed the shows.

I would not consider the food for the most part mexican. In fact most of the meals at the two restaurants (reservations required) are prety american style. Beef, fish, pork entrees similar to what you would get in the states. The meals are 4 courses, small portions, but after access to food 24 hours a day, the portions are adequate. The snack bar during the day does have very good tacos. Breakfast menu has eggs, omlettes, pancakes, etc. some come mexican style and some with the very facmous refried beans, There is enough variety to find something of your choosing. Belive me you will not go hungry, and expect to come a few pounds heavier!

Please do yourself a favor and go downtown for at least a couple of meals, Vallarta has some of the best restaurants to be found, and plenty of them are not Mexican food. Try the Frankfurt on Basilio Badillo for excellent German food, Espresso on IL Vallarta has the best pizza, across the street is El Torito for ribs and chicken. For that \"special\" meal try Trio (Mediterranean 5 star, 5 diamond), River Cafe or Daiquiri Dicks. Get out and explore, the variety of food there is amazing.
