Questions about the Royal decameron

1. Royal is about 30 miles from PV
2. Royal has a disco open till about 3 or 5 am , they organize a bar crawl
3. Age varies.... prob more of a 30+ crowd
4. Bucerias is fairly close with shops, flea market, eateries
5. Cancun is very americanized, where PV still holds its old work charm.you should luv it, and the beautiful scenery just adds to its charm

I feel sympathy for you being attacked by a stingray.
I got stung in my Achilles Tendon on my first visit to PV, EXCRUCIATING pain !!
I have since learned that when in the sea you should shuffle your feet ,this gives the Stingray warning that you are comming ,and you dont step on them.
If you do get stung ,run the hottest water you can stand ,on the wound for 1/2 hour.
If you have Meat Tenderizer,put it on the wound .
The Protein in the venom is broken down by the hot water or the tenderizer.

I did not shuffle my feet and I paniced like a lunitick!!

I think all of Mexico heard me scream. I tried to swim away and then touch,but each time I went to put my feet down a stingray would be underneath me feet. I learned from that. Next time rest assured the stingrays in that whole ocean will hear me shuffle my feet!!!

What Spud failed to mention in his post, was the fact that now he brings a bunch of children from the Refugio to the beach with him. He gets them to form a semi circle around him and enter the water first, shuffling their feet.

Javi, I am positive you will find PV much less expensive than Cancun. We opted for Cancun instead of PV last December(because of Kenna) and were quite dissapointed. PV has way more choices from shopping to eating, etc. More choices = more competition= better prices. Good luck and enjoy your vacation !
