Questions Re: Crown Paradise

I dont know about the price but the Crown would not be discounted as it is a higher end hotel. The resort is very close to the marina , there you will find all the day trips for whale watching , fishing , rhytyms of the night etc the marina is a short block away.Also there is a ton of shops there , avoid any day that the cruise ships are in , prices go up when ships come in , the best time to shop is right after the ships leave . Bus stop is one block away on main street , great location , have stayed there many times you cant go wrong , search the board for other posts .

The shopping at the Marina Mercado is pretty good. I will tell you that it is better when the Cruise Ships are not in. However, some of the store owners do not always open when there is no ship. It is only a short walk to the Mercado from the CP. Give it a try. We have done a great amount of our shopping there for the last 17 years. This being said, I would still not miss going Downtown to the Mercado Centro along side the Rio Cuale.

i do not know what the conversion for Cdn is to US for your one week... we are going in five more sleeps for two full weeks... Feb 14 - 28th... we booked directly with the hotel each year (this is our 7th trip to the CP) and then we come back to Iowa and watch the air fares from DM or CR to Puerto Vallarta... e-mail Angie Garcia at the crown paradise directly and visit with here about those dates, and then compare back with your travel agent....

as for shopping, how far can you walk ... there are shops galore all with walking distance of the CP... the little beach mall down from the resort along the beach, there is the marina area, there is the Giagante not far, then there are all kinds down along the river walk way too... and definitely stay away during the cruise ship days...

welcome to our second home... as i said earlier... this is our 7th trip to CP.... and you will see our posts all over this bulletin board... and yes we are known by the staff as Mr. and Mrs. Crown Paradise....
