I am originally from Calgary now living in Sasaktoon and will be staying at th Canto Del Sol from Dec 20-27th. I will be sure to leave my thoughts and links to some current pics when I get back.

I will be staying at the Villas Vallarta,sister hotel to the Canto. I , too, have heard things about the Canto. Many of them very good. I cannot wait to go. Please post a trip report on your return and let us know what gives.

Jennybean, thanks for responding. You have given a lot of helpful info there. You mention tipping the waiters after every drink...could you tell me how much. While I think tipping is great, I would not want to set a prescendent of tipping too much or too little, as would be the case of tipping a taxi driver and leading to increased fares. and what about wait staff in the dining room? My dilemma becomes, how much EXTRA money do I bring down, just for tipping???!
