Riu is Open!!

Just returned from a one week stay at the Riu. It is open completely and looks fabulous. Food was the best! Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach long and wide. Great for walks. To those going to the Riu I am sure you will enjoy!

do you have any pictures?also how busy is it?we are going in two weeks and iam concerned about getting bumped to somewhere else.also what can you tell me about ocean view rooms? i have emailed the riu website 9 times in the past two weeks and am getting no response from them.any info you have would be wonderfull.

I have never heard of anyone getting bumped to another hotel - it never even crossed my mind to be worried about such a thing. We will be there 6/28-7/5 and I have heard nothing but wonderful things.

At the beginning of the week I was there is was very quiet, but the last few days the hotel was really filling up. They had some great deals for
Mexicans to try it out.
The front desk will tell you there are no ocean view rooms, but there are. Whether you will be able to get one will be a different story.
Entertainment in the evenings started about 10pm, (a little late for me) and ran sometimes
to 1130pm. They have different \"theme shows\" every night. The only problem I had was the MC spoken in spanish mostly because there was so many Mexicans and alot was not translated into english. Hopen this answers your questions.
