Re:riu Jalisco Spot Cooking
Some food is already laid out in buffet style. Then they have employees cooking behind food stations. I.E. at breakfast, french toast, pancakes, eggs, omelettes.....at lunch or dinner, quesadillas, different kinds of fish, beef and chicken, paella, flambeed bananas and pineapple, etc., that are served to your plate by the employee. Breakfast also has a fresh smoothie station and dinner has a carving station with beef, chicken or fish, cut fresh.

There are two identical buffet restaurants in the main building, one smaller buffet beachside. There is a Nayarit restaurant, which you must make reservations for (2 seatings) between 7-10am (though reservations are usually booked by around 7:30) each day and it is a set menu of about 5 different meats, steamed vegetables and salad and dessert bar. The menu there stays the same. The same building houses an Italian buffet at lunch. The buffet beachside is very small. The main buffet restaurants have a wide variety of different kinds of foods and though some is repeated, there are different specialties during the week. We thought the food was fine for an A/I. Drinks are not very strong, but if you ask the bartender to, they will add more alcohol. A nice tip to them will also get you better drinks.
