I’ve been there a few times. The hotel rooms are typical hotel rooms, with firm beds; nothing fancy. Almost all Ocean view rooms have balconies, except the Southern most room on the top two floors, (which probably has a better than average view, but no balcony). We usually ask for an upper level ocean view with out problems (they can be load if that sort of thing bothers you). Food is Decent, with cooking stations serving the special of the day, typically very good, the buffet is the same as everywhere else, nothing to get excited over. We usually head into town for supper, at least half the time to avoid getting bored with the food. Drinks are fine, you will find each bartender does things a little different than the others. The Beach Bar is Fantastic; it has an indefinable ‘something’ that most other places do not have. Every one seems to gather and mingle at Sunset, very special indeed. I also find it has one of the nicest beaches in the hotel zone. I’m sure you will find a many opinions on this hotel, some good some bad, most I think will agree it’s a good place to vacation. Enjoy
