Royal Decameron information

This is our second trip down to PV, and have booked a week at the Royal Decameron Hotel. I had a friend there last month and loved it. Is there anyone else that can give me more information on the hotel? We are booked for the week of September 23 2006.

One year ago today we stayed at the Getaway Club, and we were not impressed, the owner or manager was a jerk but still had a great time in PV and enoyed the people !! cant wait

We have been going there for 6 years. We love the hotel and cannot say anything bad about it. The only drawback is that it is quite a way from the Getaway hotel, but we enjoyed the bus rides on the local bus. The little town of Bucerias that is within walking distance is great. We walked along the beach a few times a week. The Decameron resort is quite large and spread out with lots of things to see and do. We have stayed at a few hotels closer to the downtown, but prefere Decameron over all. If you have any questions let me know.

Is there any great deals on mopeds around the hotel. :D I would never dream of taking one into PV, I have seen and been in the taxi there(wow). It just seems like a nice idea to rent a moped or two and check out the fishing village, the other hotels, and the area around Royal Decameron

Jamie Not sure but check out the (www.buceriasmexico.com). Maybe it will give you the answer you are looking for.

I am not sure about mopeds for rent but...The De Cameron has bicycles
on the Resort for guests use.
One can easily ride around the area on a bike . I would suggest adding a tush cushion..The cobblestones are a little Bum py.

I also see that the Royal Decameron has a car rental place. When we last visited PV in June 2005 we never rented a car since we stayed in the hotel zone and the downtown drivers are crazy. Staying away from PV it might be nice to rent a car and check some sites.

I have emailed a few car rental places and they have given me the run around. I can get a car for $25.00 a day but they dont want to let you know how much the insurance is. Seeing those taxi drivers down there I cant rent without insurance. Have you rented a car, or know were I should go?

I did check out the Buserias site and they were not helpful :shock:

I hear the nightly shows at the Royal Decameron are great, does anyone know if the drinks are free for there all inclusive guests in the Disco or just admission, some travel sites say they are and some say they are not.

We go to PV every year and stayed at RDC in 04.

It was incredible.

Yes the drinks are free in the disco.

Yes there are bikes available and I do recommend taking them out for a spin thru a trail that runs into Bucerias.

We are planning on retuning to RDC this year as we do miss the unbelievable beaches and the resort.

We have 3 months and 3 days left before we can experience the RDC. It seems like forever but it was the only time my wife could get off from work. It is probably for the best since we just got a 10 week old long hair chihuahua. She will be potty trained by then for grandma

Building 3 is the only one with an elevator. Central to everything.

6 more days to go. Will be there July 1-15. You will love it, a great resort.

Building # 1 is the closest to the ocean and all rooms face the ocean. If you want a clear view try for 2 nd floor.
If you booked through a travel agent they can request a specific room and building. They usually have 2 double beds in this building. We make the request and always get the rooms we want.

make your specific room request through your tour operator but at time of check in you can also request particular rooms/buildings...they will get you what you want...ground floor suites in any of the buildings are suitable for the mobility impaired...although there is easy access throughout the resort, building three is very central...sonofdob.

Our room had two double beds. Course, when pushed together, you have a king. We re-arranged our beds and nightstand the first day, and while there, the housekeeper always obliged, by ensuring the bed sheets, blankets, etc., were made and arranged as if the bed was a king!!

don-kebab...it is a large resort, so you will meet people of all ages...check out the activity pool between building one and two...in the eveing at the same area is a small stage that has karaoke on Tues and Fri I think...also check out the disco each night...sonofdob.

8 weeks 2 days until we are there in Paradise

Can anyone tell me if the safe in the room at RDC will fit a laptop?

jacrozie...sorry I will try and forward those again...hnewfie...the safe is in the closet on the lower shelf and will not fit a laptop...sonofdob.

jacrozie...seems I exceeded some sort of size limiter on the outbound message attachment...had to send you several e-mails with four or so photos per...sonofdob.

I can assure you that the safe will fit a sony vaio, as we put one in there last trip.

sorry...not familiar with all models...maybe a little old school on my part but compaq armada too big to fit...unless your in bldg six...sonofdob.

I was on Signature Vacations web site and they are telling people that there is construction going on at the Royal Decameron. I thought that building 6 was finished. Doen anyone know if this is on old warning that was never taken away of is there construction from 10am to 5pm like listed. :shock:

I would then think that it is an old warning when they were constructing buiding 6 :D

I have a reply from the Royal Decameron on my email question about construction. They have informed me that they have finished construction of building 6 and that there is some minor construction at the pickup and drop off points, giving shade to guests. They alos tell me that they are alway fixing things up around the complex.

Let me tell you..bldg six is complete and has been for at least 10 months...although I prefer bldg five I must say that bldg six is very impressive indeed....sonofodb
