We came to PV a week earlier last year and spent sometime in Rincon de Guayabitos and Sayulita. In Sayilita, we stayed at VILLA AMOR --- which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!! There are serveral \"types\" of accommodations. The \"carriage rooms\" are the cheapest, but there is NO VIEW, is the front is basically a barn door with some slats. There are other rooms on the ground level that are fully glassed and look out over the water. there are also many, many rooms VERY HIGH up in the hill, which requires LOTS OF STEPS, so be forewarned, if you have bad knees. We had a wonderful, huge, room one level off the street which had a private patio, a sunken shower, table/chairs, loveseat, bed with mesquito net (which you will need, as part of the glass front is \"open\" at the top. This is at the end of the road near the cemetery and is right on the water. There were several children there, so it appears to be family friendly. There are kayaks and paddle boats too.
The rooms are pale blue and yellow and are really, really romantic. Some have kitchens. Just be sure that you understand all the different room options available. Just a short drive/walk into the center of town -- we walked it every night, even though we had a car.
