Re:SOLARE RESORT
Stayed at Solare in mid-March, and could not be happier with our stay. Not a big resort - 180 rooms, so we felt right at home. Food, bars, nightly shows, pool, all were excellent! The entire staff treated us like family. This was our first trip to Mexico, and we had the BEST time. We would highly recommend the Solare Resort.
Re:SOLARE RESORT
We stayed at the Solare in May 2001 and October 2000. We loved the resort! Would go back in a minute! In October 2000 the nightly shows were better than in May 2001, but the staff is wonderful and put a lot of energy in their performances. The food is good on the buffet. The speciality food places (2 of them) are only fair. You can walk on the beach to the small town of Bucerias from the resort. Great shopping! The only down side of the resort is the vendors on the beach. They set up right on the beach at the resort. It is not recommended to leave your things on the beach while you go and eat like most resorts we have stayed at. In October 2000 we stayed around the pool most of the time because of the vendors, but in May 2001 we stayed on the beach most of the time and ignored the vendors. The pools are great at the resort. If you need any more information or pictures, just email me.

Re:SOLARE RESORT
I just got back form the Solare. I will say the hotel staff work very hard and the shows were great. What I did not like was the fact that I got sick from thier water or food (5 of my eight days were spent on the tiolet), the rooms were not comforatable and for the money the food was sub par. Dont eat from the buffett at \"the beach grill\" durring lunch as it was the left overs from the past night Dinner. The deserts all were of bad quality. The Kids club was non existant and the only Beer choise you will have comes from a 40 once bottle of del Sol poured in a 10 oz glass. (You had to bribe the Bar tender for anthing wlse if he had it). My conclusion.....Dont go there! and by they way I feel right now DONT GO TO MEXICO UNTIL THEY CAN FIX THIER DAMN WATER!

Too bad, you had a bad experience. I went to the Solare in 99 and 2000 and can tell you that I had a good time and the water was no problem, the water is treated and also the resort have their own water treatment system. It is the first bad report I read on this resort. Perhaps it was not the water.....
Re:SOLARE RESORT
My husband and I stayed there five years ago for our honeymoon and loved it! The rooms were large and the pool area and grounds were immaculate. The food and drinks were good. The shows are supposed to be great but we went into town every night. Our only regret was that it is so far from town. We are going back in May for our anniversary and staying at the Westin. Have a great trip!
