Re:Staying at Las Palmas Need Info On It
Alexis,

My Wife and I went there this past March (2004) and stayed at Las Palmas. We were very satisfied. The buffet is so so (as are most AI buffets) but other than that no complaints. We like to go to old town so for 4 pesos we would travel by bus (very safe). We liked it so much that we are going back in Feb or Mar and taking our kids. We are also planning a trip for 20+ adults for Mar 2006. I liked the place. It was clean, very courtious staff. The beach is a bit small but we stayed on the wall (near the bar) anyway. Just make sure you try to get a room on the north side as the parrots on the south side are very noisy.

I have some pictures I took of the resort when I was parasailing if you would like to see them than e-mail me and I will send them to you. Ajstanger66@yahoo.com

Good luck and have fun.

Regards,
Tony

Just a note, Las Palmas will be packed full of Mexican Nationals, vacation time here in MX.... they are already sold out for most of the August weekends....not a bad thing! A new cultural experience! One thing that does happen at this time, some hotels downgrade the buffet food. One in particular takes bacon off the buffet during this time (and Easter/Semana Santa) and puts hot dogs on instead. So, the food may not be as good as normal, and guaranteed, way more kids than in Jan, Feb and March.
Either way, it is a vaction, so have fun, and explore Vallarta!
