The Krystal

We are going to Puerto Vallarta at the beginning of March for 10 days with a group of family and friends. We are staying the first three days at the Krystal, while the last seven will be spent at our timeshare at the Sierra Nuevo Vallarta. We have never stayed at the Krsytal. We have booked a club, ocean view room. Does anyone know anything about these rooms? Is this a large, multi-story building, or is it a one-level? It advertises a continental breakfast, yet on TripAdvisor, I read that somone was charged for their coffee and breakfast. Has anyone stayed here, and can relate their experiences?

We have stayed several times at the Krystal Hotel. However, we were always in the condominium sections as owners of timeshares.

The property now has a new four story building ocean front. It opened a couple of years ago. Those rooms are standard hotel rooms, relatively small. There are rooms facing the ocean and others facing the interior of the property. My understanding is that a continental breakfast is included when you stay in that building.

Not certain about that room category, but Krystal now is a varied mix of accommodations. As just mentioned, they have a new oceanfront building, but the main campus is still the same. Once the exclusive resort for movers and shakers, NH has done allot since Kenna to make it into a conference center. The original \"villas\" are cute, but very small, the courtyard \"suites\" are very nice, but vary in quality and the \"condos\" on the north end are just an older hotel complex with new TVs so rooms are simple. It is a beautiful complex overall, private and our experiences were very satisfactory in years past. You will enjoy the grounds, gardens and huge pool area.
