Thinking about staying at Nuevo Vallarta, Now which motel?

If you want to have access to clubs, partying, etc Nuevo is not the place to stay. Bucerias is a smaller town--more typical of a Mexican town. There is a fair number of good restaurants--nothing high class. Not a lot of shops, but quite a few stalls along the street with stuff.

Nuevo is a good choice if you want to relax and enjoy what the resort has to offer - nice facilities, beach, pool activities. Nuevo is suited for families and couples, but would not be so good for a single person.

It is 1/2+ hour from Nuevo to get into downtown - back around the Bay on the other side of the airport and then some... by car, taxi, shuttle or local bus. Bucerias is a bit further north and is a normal small Mexican town. Tourist items are not so cheap these days.

Nuevo is not a good choice if you want to be walking distance to tons of shops, stores, bars, restaurants, clubs, galleries, activities in El Centro (downtown PV).

Just as a point of interest, it is a $17 US cab fare from Royal Decameron to downtown PVR.

Hi, while I had a relaxing time at the Mayan Palace in Nuevo, I would have rather been closer to town. I agree with the fact that Nuevo is nice for couple and families. If you fit into that catagory you will love Nuevo. Have a good time.

Is the R.Julisco a nice ressort?

One of my co-workers stayed at the R. Jalisco and said it was wonderful.
