Timeshare warning

Started May 19, 2002 · 2,046 views · 3 posts
Beware of purchasing a timeshare at Marina de Oro, which is affiliated with Club Golden Shores and Hotel Playa de Oro. Their management has been deliberately overchanging for maintenance fees, which has resulted in over 80 owners joining to hire a law firm to recover excess charges.

Re:Timeshare warning
Marina de Oro maintenance fee increases were to be pegged to US Cost of Living for Large Cities. This practice held for a number of years until current Mexican management decided to raise maintenance fees 10% across the board. At this rate maintenance fees will double in a little over 7 years. This matter is now in the hands of lawyers and will eventually make its way to officials in California where Golden Shores has their office.
