Timeshares - NOT - AI

there are lots of timeshare resorts that are ala carte.... you can throw a dart at the wall and hit many of them... now it just depends if you want to be in town or out in Nuevo Vallarta. As the previous person posted, i thinnk the Flamingos resort he refers to is in Nuevo Vallarta, and is 30 - 45 mintues from all the action... and the taxi rides in and out of town is around $15 - 20 USD one way... so that is something to consider...

we have been to Matzalan twice... and we have been coming to PV for almost 14 yrs now... so that should give you some sort of idea which one we consider better.... jmho...

Or go to your RCI book on places in Vallarta, and then come back to us, and ask us about this or that resort that RCI lists out for you....

Los Tules is definetly not AI . Beautiful grounds - a former coconut plantation that still has numerous trees . If I had the money this is where I would buy . The beach here is always quiet and almost never anyone in view . Right next door to the Fiesta Americana - with all the facilities you could ask for . :)

What about these resorts? These appear to be non AI & good reviews. Any info on them?

Universal Vacation Club Villa Del Palmar has gone to AI for ALL guests who are not members. That means everyone exchanging in gets AI, no choice.

Lindo Mar is not AI but very difficult to trade into thru RCI unless you start your search waaaaaayy out.

The Velas Vallarta is not AI mandatory for owners. I do believe it is for exchanges. That is a shame as it is a great place and while the food is indeed very good, there are just too many great places to try around the area and downtown.

There is so much to do at the resort, no need to leave. You can buy an all inclusive meal ticket, or go whereever you like.
Oh my... we have been out in the Nuevo Vallarta area in the past. and yes we go all-inclusive when we stay at the GCP... but to just stay on property is just not right in my opinion. Especially with all the wonderful sights, sounds, smells of vallarta, the people, the food, the cocktails, the music, etc... At least in Vallarta you can go out at night and enjoy the night life... not like in Jamaica where you go on a tour during the day, and when you get back, you lock down in your resort,

Not a problem... we feel the same way about our resort as well... but when you are 10 mintues from downtown or 45 minutes with a good walk... Everybody needs to experience the ambiance of Vallarta... and the love that just eminates from the people and the city....
