Playa del Sol Grande and Mayan Palace were offering the $150US in late Nov. Sales pitch takes almost 3 hours regardless of what they tell you. You determine if your time is worth it.

And YOU call them SHARKS ????

Re:Timeshares who has the best gifts
I was through the Mayan palce presentation with my gal in Oct 2001.
Got hit on at los Palomas.
Got them to pay for a cab ride to old town (to pick up our Visa cards) and then out to the the big B.S. It did take 3 hours including the lunch that they paid for at their resteraunt on site (it was Good but no boose) then back to the closing room.---where 4 differant levels of \"closers\" with capped teeth ground us to sign. T
They started out at $49,000 US and by the time we said NO the last time they were down to a $200.US downpayment for 1 week a year \"trial\" package for 5 years.
Then they showed us the door and left us to our own means to find the lobby (6 blocks away through the golf course) where we waited 20 minutes in a line up for our gift and cab chit home.
May gal was so frustrated that she wanted to leave while in the \"gift\" lineup but there is no way after sitting through the grind.
We did get our $150 US (paid in Pesos) gift and our cab ride back into town.
Would I do it again? I would have to be very -very hungry first. But we did consider the experiance a win in the big picture.
What I want to know, is how do you get all of the
pitchmen to leave you alone for the rest of your holiday?
I would gladly sit through a \"grind\" for a gift of $150 US the first day of every holiday if I got a hat or something that would make me invisable to further sales pitches of
BRRRAIDS LADY? ,
Hey Buddy want a free jeep?
Hey you Huneymooooners want a free cruise?
Olla! you are movie stars arent you? you whanna go esnorkling?
Hey you dropped something.
and all of the nominds on the beach that after saying no politely, to whatever they are selling would walk ten feet away and them come right back Interupting your conversation or nap to ask you the same question again.
I HATE THIS I have been going to PV for ten years now and stay for three weeks at least once a year, but I have to leave at three weeks or I would surely snap during the fourth week of the sales gauntlet. to bad this beautiful place is poiled is spoiled by the actions of the minority of aggresive sales people in the town.
