We booked an Oceanview room at the GCP and we have just received our tickets and room confirmation. It states that we have a Deluxe Oceanview room...is there a difference??

Yes there is... a deluxe ocean view room will be in the new wing by the Breeze Bar Palapa... they got this block of room from the old Playa De Oro a few years ago... they are a little larger than the other rooms... and the ones on the end have jacquizis on the balcony and the rest of them have jacquizis in the room... they are nice we have stayed in a couple of them before... 2601-2701-2801-2901-3001-3101 and 2612-2712-2812-2912-3012-3112 are the end suites,

have a great time... let me know if there is anything else i can do for you... or answer any other questions on the resort....

I beg to differ, the oceanview (deluxe oceanview) over look the pool, giving you a really good view of the bay and the mountains. We actually prefer these to the oceanfront. Sure some have hot tubs and one must be aware that there is a block of those rooms that face the palapa of the Breeze bar. Not much of view there and considerable noise until say 1130p.

PV God - Chuck... that is why Lojo and I request 1703 every year now... being on the 7th floor, with it bein a honeymoon suite, it is great for parties, guests, as well as getting away from all the noise.... jmho....

have a good one... was Santa good to you... and congrats again for breaking the 1000 post barrier... keep going, and you will pass Mogens soon... that is for sure...

Chery and Andy Andy and Cheryl, we book this room a year in advance. We book this during our stay the previous year. Yes it is a little more than your standard room, but for us it is well worth the extra money for the room, the comfort, the space, etc.... You can always check at the front desk if one of these suites may be available, and see if they can upgrade you to them. But it is my understanding right now, that they are at capacity and possibly overflowing just a little.

Good luck... and enjoy our home away from home...
