Oh Melissa, do yourself a favor and do some fake and bake tanning before hand. It will save you a sun burn!
I tanned for 2 weeks before my trip last week and spent 7 full days in the sun and only got chapped lips! (I did use 15 and 30 spf sunscreen).

I am also looking to go to the Vallarta Palace in December, If anyone could offer any information, it would be greatly appreciated. This will be our first time in PV. We are Cancun regulars----what should we expect as far as main differences go?
Thanks

I am also looking to go to the Vallarta Palace in December, If anyone could offer any information, it would be greatly appreciated. This will be our first time in PV. We are Cancun regulars----what should we expect as far as main differences go?The biggest difference is that PV was a real Mexican city & port long before it was \"discovered\" by us tourists. Also do not expect the water clarity in the rough Pacific as you see in the Caribbean. While the beaches are nice the real attraction is the fabulous old world charm, the people & the many wonderful neighborhoods along with the restaurants & night life.
Thanks
Yes we will be down there in Jan / 06 and have been to Nuevo before but not this resort. They have been updating their pictures on their site as they finish areas and it is looking good. Here is the link for you ..... enjoy and make sure you leave us a link to your pictures so we can see them before we go.

Vallarta Palace
My husband and I own a timeshare at Vallarta Palace which used to be Sierra Nuevo Vallarta. The hotel has been completly remodeled from top to bottom and have not been there since it was remodeled. I can tell you that prior to the remodel, my husband and had been at that hotel every year for 8 years, and absolutely loved it! In looking at the new website listed above, the hotel looks nothing like it used to. It looks so modern now. We always enjoyed the food, the pool activities, and they even had a boat tour and horseback riding included with the all-inclusive fee. The problem is, the Palace has now raised the all-inclusive fee to more than double (per person) what it was, and has priced us right out of going anymore. The hotel is not too big, and is easy to get around. If the service and activities staff is anything like it was 2 years ago, everyone should love this resort. Have fun!
Palace Vallarta
Hello...Can anyone give me a review of the Palace resort in Puerto Vallarta. I have won a trip (all inclusive) and arrive on Feb 22nd. The info we are looking for is how the all inclusive works, which restaurants are the best, and special tid bits that you want to included.
This would be highly apprectiated!
Thanks!:D

Congratulations Parrot on your trip win . Good choice going to PV . :)
All Inclusive is easy. You get a pretty band on your wrist and then you are able to fill up your food plate and drinks cup as much as you like and... for those that have not won a trip it feels free for a short period of time.:D
