Velas Vallarta in July

We are presently planning our trip..and are leaning towards Krystal (with our 5)because RCI websight says Velas has construction going on next door. Has anyone been there reacently who can tell us whether or not this is true. Would it be good to stay one week each place? We also have the option of staying at the Westin one of the weeks.

We just got back from the Velas Vallarta on 3/30. Yes, there is construction. No, it was not noticeable and we were on the side of the Bayview. It is a beautiful facility with magnificent grounds, nice pools, and beach access. I highly recommend it.
