Villa del Palmar OR Villa del Mar?

Villa Del Mar has very nice newly refurbished rooms,and now has elevaters.
One of the buildings is right on the road (building \"g\" I think )Iwould assume that it is noisy.
Last week we were in room 201,beside the Mexican restaurant,it was noisy from the restaurant A/C UNITS,but we both sleep with ear plugs installed and it was no problem.
Most of the older guests seemed to use the VDM pool,very quiet and civilized.
Beach pool chairs and loungers are snapped up very quickly.
Can of beer 40 Pesos,can of pop 19 Pesos.MUCH cheaper at Gigante super market about 300 yards past the hotel on the opposite side of road.

We used the elevator every day during the first week of December 2002 at the Villa Del Mar,

I will be down from Feb 9-16 and am staying at Villa Del Palmar. Does anyone know the condition of their beach? It is next to the Holiday Inn and I know their beach was closed for awhile so was wondering if anyone knew???

By the way I have stayed at Palmar before and the rooms are nice. No problems with any rowdiness or noise!
