Villa Del Palmar

Anyone know how to secure an ocean view at this location. I have requested away from the street & an ocean view but no response. Also any other warnings about this location not posted elsewhere? Usually we stay next door at Holiday Inn but not available.
Also anyone know how the project is coming onthe other side of the HI. Cant remember the name but had looked at their web site before.

You can put a request in but nothing is definate. Just go to their website www.villagroupresorts.com and phone the 1-800 number and put your request in but I believe rooms are assigned on a first come first serve basis and members of the resort will get first choice. Just so you know there a 5 units(?) that are oceanfront and there are a few that have a slight view of the ocean but most are pool view or garden view.

Palapagal is correct in saying that the owners get the first choice on rooms, and it is almost impossible to get the ocean front rooms if you are not an owner there.

Not sure what you are looking for as far as warnings about this location if you usually stay next door at Holiday Inn? Any warnings about that area would pretty much apply to both properties. Is there something specific that you have heard about that you are referring to?

If your reservation is at Villa Del Palmar and not Villa Del Mar you will not be on the street. The only rooms on the street are in the Villa Del Mar complex.

Edited to say I just saw your other post under Holiday Inn. You will NOT get an ocean front room at Christmas as the resort is totally full at Christmas time.

The warnings pertain to the added charges for room service, no dish soap in kitchen, etc. It wasnt necessarily about the area just particular to this property as each property allows different things to go on on their premises.
I wasnt aware of the limited # of ocean view rooms but fully understand. We kind of expected it the way the property is laid out, but it never hurts to ask & we always have a view at the HI.
I have heard previously that VDP is a great place but also know there was a # of people trying to sell their timeshare. Not sure why but this has been our experience in talking with those from that property.
