westin regina in PV

My wife and I will be staying there at the end of April. Just wanted some feedback about the resort and if you stayed there. I have read that construction is going on there. As far as the timeshare people all over you. Is that something that you sign up to do, or is it that they pester you. Would like a few tips on where to eat at, being we are staying near the marina.

Thank You
Billy

Re:westin regina in PV
My husband and I go there about 1-2 times a year. Always stay at the Westin. I am very picky and I love it there. My favorite restaurant is Cafe Maxmillian. We have never had a bad meal anywhere we ate. We do alot of fishing, so if interested let me know and I could give you a great contact. As far as the timeshare unless you are really interested in purchasing dont waste your time. I know it is REALLY HIGH PRESSURE once your are in there. The \"information desk\" in the lobby is timeshare. The free drink certificate to pick up at the desk is really timeshare. Almost all INFORMATION in PV is timeshare. The worst is Mayan Palace. I swear they are some kind of cult or something. Its really not worth it to do a timeshare presentation for the \"FREE\" stuff.
We just got back from Zihuatenejo and did not like it. We missed PV, the people are much more genuine and nicer. I know I have alot of information so if interested e-mail me. FYI: when leaving the baggage claim area at the airport you will enter an area where they ask you what hotel you are going to and then will bring you to the desk for your free transportation. DONT. Its timeshare! Just say No, Gracias we have a cab and keep on walking. You will waste alot of time. PV is to great to waste time. Hope the info was helpful.
