Just returned from PV. Stayed at the Westin from 2/16 through 3/1. The only construction that was going on was the limited work being done on a palapa in front of the soon to be new restaurant overlooking the beach. The Westin caters to its guests and the sound was really nonexisent. They know how to treat you. The weather and the hotel were beautiful.
Try the Barcelona Restaurant overlooking the city about four blocks up the hill from the Malacon. Great food and service. Many great restaurants and fun things to do and see. Been in PV many time and always find something new along with the standards.
Los Pibes (beef) Cafe Hola (Mexican) Brasil Restaurant (all type of beef, all you can eat). Try some local places like at the corner of Nicaragra and Peru for fish. Couple of great local places in Ixtapa (not Ixtapa/Zui) about 3 to 5 miles north of the airport (La Calagutas).You will love it. Go and enjoy yourself.
