Re:Where to stay????
Sounds like you are definitly Playa de Los Muertos people. In the heart of old town with cafes, discos, clubs & tons of those damn wave runners. Any of the hotel sthere should do the job. Check out Los Arcos.

Re:Where to stay????
Which \"Zone\" is that? Sorry for the dumb questions....
Re:Where to stay????
The Golden Crown Paradise as referred to in the above post in a very great place to stay, we have been there 7 times. But there are other resorts if you want to be off hotel row ; the downtown and old town area which are walking steps from your resort would be the closest to night life in Puerto Vallarta. Check out the hotels listed on this site under Accomodations to give you an idea what is available and to your liking. You hopefully will love the atmospherse of PV like we and so many others do. Any more questions after looking I am sure will be answered.
Re:Where to stay????
We booked through Adventure tours and got 7 nights at GCP for a little over $700 each with air. We booked the tours we wanted through this site. Look in your local paper to see what company is offering deals as it varies by city. Good luck and have fun in PV.
Re:Where to stay????
Depending on what cities you are close to ... like the above post says check your local papers for hot deals... if you have Funjet out there, or Apple Vacations, or even MLT Vacations... check their websites.... now sometimes you can get a good deal directly from the resort and then get your air fare seperate... Alaskan Air, or America West, are some that could be flying out of your area CA girl.... you will love Vallarta... she is a beautiful city....
Re:Where to stay????
Alaska, Northwest, Continental, American and America West also have built-in vacation packages via the airline websites, ie: Alaska Vacations, America West Vacations etc. They offer air/hotel packages, and most of them offer the GCP as well as a slew of other hotels.

Check out the regular airline websites for package deals as well as the charter company websites mentioned...oftentimes, booking through a regular carrier will net you some serious goodies, such as food coupons, free nights, welcome baskets, free golf, major air miles, etc.

If you gave us a price range/amenities required/etc., we could probably better direct you to what might work for you.

Also be sure to checkout Mexicana packages. Full food service & free drinks on all flights. By far the best service to Mexico.

Re:Where to stay????
My wife and I are staying at the \"Getaway Sun Resort\" it is 5 minutes from town, on the beach, and an 18 and older hotel. (there is nude sunbathing and swimming) We have read good and bad things but it is a party place. Its a three star and is close to everything. Go to expedia for rates
Re:Where to stay????
