Dress Atire

Hello all....!
Can any one please tell me if nice (silk) dress shorts are fine for me to dine in the restaurants, and the nice clubs, or do I need to bring slacks as well?
This is my first time traveling to P/V so I could use a little help here...

most places are pretty laid back, but to be safe i would pack some slacks to be safe. A nice pair of dockers or something of that nature will not take up that much space in your suit case, so i would run like that.... I always have some long pants with just for the fact i like to dress up with my wife when i take her out for a nice romantic dinner.
