Traditional Mexican culture

I know Puerto Vallarta is a bit of a tourist destination but there has to be some places to find some Mexican culture. Mariachi bands, traditional pottery wears, Mexican dining or any thing else along those lines.

Just about everywhere.

I see a lot of posts about Carlos O Brians and The Zoo etc but I can get those type of bar back at home. Can recommend any traditional Mexican places of interest?

There are so many of the places you want to go, it is hard to list them at all. I like to get checked into my hotel and ask around for resturant referals. You can find traditional Mex pottery and crafts almost anywhere, just this last time I found a hugh warehouse catering to home decorating just south of the marina (1/2 mile). Lots of art, pottery, furniture ect. and they can ship it to your home, very reasonable by UPS. Several places also feature tradional mexican fiesta nights with big buffets and dancers representing the different states and regions of Mexico. There is no end to the wonders that can be found in PV.

To: closet iguana, Were the one that e-mailed me about the warehouse I mentioned in the above post? I do not remember the name but it is on the west side of the main drag just about 1/2 mile from the Crown Paradise (or if you wish, the cruise line dock at the marina). To be a little more precise it is between the cruise dock and the little river that you cross while going into town from the marina area. It is just off the road a little and is down in a \"hole\". I found the place very interesting, but did not buy anything this last trip. Hope this helps.
