A couple girlfriends and I are going to PV for the 1st time in about a week and will be staying at The Melia, it’s away from the downtown area – what is there to do around this hotel? What’s the best way to get downtown from the Marina area? Once downtown, what are the best nightspots? Thanks.

Well, almost correct, but the Melia is in the Marina not Nuevo Vallarta. A trip from NV to downtown would be more like 40 min.
